The Global Internship Program at Atlas Copco Industrial SA (Pty) Ltd offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience in internal sales and business development within a global industrial company. Based in Jet Park, Boksburg, South Africa, this role provides exposure to sales processes, customer relationship management, and digital sales platforms while supporting the Sales team in achieving business objectives. Interns will work closely with the General Manager and the broader team, contributing to sustainable sales strategies, customer engagement, and e-commerce initiatives. The program emphasizes mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on learning to prepare future leaders for success in international business environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist field sales representatives by supporting sales activities
• Learn how to contribute to organisational growth through sustainable sales strategies
• Gain exposure to Atlas Copco’s product and service range, focusing on remote customer engagement
• Support e-commerce initiatives by driving user adoption of the Smart portal and assisting with onboarding and training of distributors and customers
• Identify opportunities to expand the scope for outgoing quotes
• Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with customers through telephone calls and digital channels
• Learn to use CRM systems for managing customer data and quotes
• Participate in seminars, exhibitions, and marketing activities to gain industry exposure
• Support the team in ensuring efficient territory coverage
• Contribute ideas to business plans and sales strategies
